We got furniture for our apartment today, and are no longer living primarily off the floor, with only a mattress between the hard earth and bruised buttocks. Since we are not multi-billionaires, we purchase our furniture on Craigslist
and wind up with some pretty amazing pieces all somehow working together. After a crazy couple of weeks, it’s nice to finally feel at home.
Also, I live right around the corner from the most awesome hardware store ever, and plan to spend a lot of time there as we get settled. Missing shelves, fixed scratches, covered dents, spackle, and garbage cans are a two-minute walk away.
What a time to be a man.
