Plans, Presuppositions, and Mostly Nonsense

Slowly…inescapably…Summer advances, shrugging off the week-and-a-half divider with a gargantuan movement, steadily progressing towards April 21st with a howling, maniacal rage until each and every man and man-child will be engrossed in its beastly, oddly-comforting bearhug. Within this period of inevitable terror, I must set my mind to the domination of all things school-related, like my never-ending PHP class, or the social studies course which entirely takes place in the teacher’s confused brain. Likewise, a friend’s marriage, and obvious choice for a cameraman of moving pictures, approaches to control the weekend’s normally studious adventures. All in all, a wild, unrelenting cacophony of crazed self-education, classic foibles, and a considerable capacity for catastrophic failure.

So I’ve been mainly focusing (without allowing a total mutiny of dedicated brain cells to command complete control) on the actual three-point-six months of breezy freedom ahead. This respite allows a rejuvenation of my imagination and creativity, a time to restructure and plan for the infinite and unstoppable futures, and some gaps to fill with the marvelous flexibility of read trips. (I have an epic one planned…either way, I will attempt to do a daily text/photo blog at my new Tumblr site throughout the Summer.) I also wish to begin work on three scripts for a popular book trilogy (which I will keep unnamed at the moment), furiously reading, researching, and regurgitating my resulting comprehension into a conglomeration of notes, outlines, and mild-mannered guesses as to the highly-educated collective works of an author reaching far beyond my mental capacity, with the goal of bringing an incredible story to millions of people through the application of high-definition silver screens and 7.1 surround sound.

Lofty and dream-worthy these aspirations, indeed. Completely negligible for society-as-we-know-it’s well-being, perhaps. Helpful and in every way beneficial to my goals and practices of artistry, art forms, and art in general? Yes, absolutely. So with a heavy heart, I return to my mindless tik-takking of keyboard buttons, in order to create such working programs as “databases”, “log-ins”, “user passwords”, “administrator control”, and PHP: Hypertext Preprocessing in both the general and specific terms, for the remainder of the evening.

Farewell.
