I had planned to post during a 4-hour trip to Washington D.C., and the chance never arrived. So after a late Lord of the Rings half-marathon and several hours of behind-the-scenes footage, I’m prepared to drift off into my weekend blackout.
Beauty can take so many forms. As humans, we like to compare other humans to our standard of beauty. A sunrise, a majestic landscape, works of art– all beautiful or ugly in their own right. I’ve noticed myself finding beauty in strange places. Filmmaking is amazing, and can be a beautiful process. The teamwork and leadership that goes into a huge production is mind-boggling. I want to be a part of it.
Who knows? Maybe in a few weeks, I’ll be neck-deep in movie magic, down in the dirt, among the weeds, doing amazing, beautiful work.
I’d like that.
