I’ve been formulating recently. Not numbers, or codes, or even ideas. Just thoughts. Actually, I’d kill for a good idea right about now. However, one project at a time will be another good lesson to learn this year.
Anyway….formulating. When I’m sitting quietly, or driving, or falling asleep, random thought begin their bombardment. The future. The present. Things I’m doing. Things I’ve done. People. Lives. They all impact individual thinking patterns, forming new ones, branching down rabbit trails, wandering off to die. What’s left, hopefully, is a consistent theme or pattern, and therefore, an idea.
Unfortunately, this final result is what successfully eludes capture time and time again, and I am left feeling unfulfilled and empty- yet, incredibly hopeful. The corporeal representations of my goals up until now have finally become visible, and after years of waiting, that is a reward in itself, and an amazing confirmation of faith. Dare I hope the goal succumb flawlessly to plan? Can I place my trust in what is still quite temporal?
No. But the alternative is even better. And there, with my God, will my faith be laid up, as a treasure, for His glory.
Now, the next year has, thankfully, presented itself a challenge early on. It hasn’t even really started, and I can see a bit of trouble ahead. But school is the hurdle, and I will jump it. As for work, searching Orlando for a job is not a walk in any-sized park, but it will remain a part of my faith.
This goes to say that, being a student, I am not opposed to income. Preferably, a hard-earned one. So, while not promoting Blinding Light or my own abilities, I will offer my services (on a “can do” basis) to anyone who needs them.
