Winter Clothes

A snowflake.

Two. Eight. A million. Countless pristine frozen droplets pour from heaven and cover the earth in powdery white and muffled silence. And cold. The cold is numbing. It gets down to the core of your bones, and sets your jaw shuddering, and your fingers searching for someplace warm.

But thank God for warm clothes. Wool, and layers of shirts, and hand-knitted socks, and…hey, these look pretty good, don’t they? Women bundled up in long coats and earmuffs, guys with leather gloves and scarves, kids jumping around with puffball hats and puffier jackets. Everybody looks fantastic!

I’m a funny-lookin’ dude, and even I can pull off the styles without busting my bank account. So keep on snowing, sky. You’re making us all look good down here.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
