First Month Impressions

I feel the need to apologize to a blog for skipping two days. It’s normal. Don’t worry.

So besides the missed weekend, I’m pretty psyched. I wrote 28 (?) things in 31 days, which is the most I’ve written in about two years. One month in and I don’t see anything differently, I haven’t changed my point of view on life, and my writing skills are no more progressed. But I’m making an effort.

My goals are as such: Continue writing and adding categories to my sitemap, learn WordPress enough to build my own theme while at the same time getting actual experience in website planning, layout, and implementation, and finally, do that second thing again several more times with other sites until I’m skilled at WordPress.

Impossible? In a year, yes. But according to Google’s Objectives & Key Results method, that’s not how it’s supposed to work anyway. I’m down with this plan. I’m so used to rolling with the punches that I forgot how to fight for anything. I need to keep going, keep expanding my goals and working to meet them, and finish the year a better man.

One month down. A lifetime to go.
