Film Critics

For all their bluster and bellyaching, movie critics get attention. They see films and then whine about them in newspapers, websites, and, more recently, YouTube. Nearly any action film is instantly disliked, as are (historically) science fiction and superhero flicks. So it’s no wonder that Batman v. Superman, a film that embodies nearly all the genres listed above, was denounced all week as a terrible movie worthy of 35% on Rotten Tomatoes (a rotten score, in case you didn’t know), and a new internet meme known as Sad Affleck.

The problem is, I enjoy all three of those genres, especially in the same movie, and after watching it this evening, discovered something important: I can’t trust stupid movie critics.

Also, go watch Batman v. Superman. It’s seriously awesome.
