I miss NYC. I spent two days alone in the city once, walking around by myself and getting lost. I spent 3 hours in Chinatown<\/a>\u00a0tourist shops looking for a gift for my sister,\u00a0explored the southern tip of Manhattan and the historic grounds and parks. I used to film ballet performances\u00a0for Gelsey Kirkland’s academy<\/a>, so on the days I’d have to myself,\u00a0a dancer would suddenly appear at a street crossing, dressed in practice skirts and tights, clutching gym bags. It was one of those sights that stood out- petite girls against a backdrop of New York’s\u00a0enormity.<\/p>\n

Wall Street was interesting. At 1pm on a Thursday, the stone streets are almost completely empty. Small groups or lone suit-clad workers would hurry out of coffeeshops, but the noise and traffic was gone. Eerie.<\/p>\n

And when the city gets cold,\u00a0the only visible change are the coats and hats and boots. Winter is a small hardship in a city that moves on no matter what.<\/p>\n
