This is the most insane month of my life. I’ve never had this much change happening all around me all at once, and I’m still planning for more. Hannah and I have actually planned a lunch with Forrest Hobbs tomorrow in downtown L.A., which we’re both really looking forward to. We haven’t seen a familiar face in over a week, and it will be nice to spend time with an old friend again.<\/p>\n

Here’s a quick run-down of everything I can think of, big to small:<\/p>\n

\n
• Quit both our jobs<\/li>\n
• Sold all our furniture<\/li>\n
• Spent a 4-day vacation in Las Vegas, met tons of family<\/li>\n
• Packed our cars<\/li>\n
• Said goodbye to our friends and family<\/li>\n
• Drove both of our cars, packed to the ceilings, separately, from Raleigh, NC to Los Angeles, CA<\/li>\n
• Stayed at three separate AirBnB homes for three nights<\/li>\n
• Spent 4 days at the last home in L.A.<\/li>\n
• Went walking the day after arriving, found an apartment<\/li>\n
• Started both our jobs the\u00a0next day (Hannah’s within walking distance, mine ~30 minutes away)<\/li>\n
• Moved into our apartment the second day<\/li>\n
• Bought a Casper mattress, arrived at the apartment 4 hours later<\/li>\n
• Carried about 800 lbs of stuff 600 ft down the road and up a flight of stairs, by ourselves<\/li>\n
• Now in the process of selling my car and downgrading to a one-vehicle family<\/li>\n
• Still need to buy an entire apartment’s worth of furniture<\/li>\n
• Finances need to be reviewed, big time<\/li>\n
• Oh man, insurance…<\/li>\n
• …medical…<\/li>\n
• …credit…<\/li>\n
• I’m drowning…<\/li>\n
