The Blaggard<\/strong><\/p>\n

Persevere? I will succeed!
\nI’ve naught to lose but pride and fear
\nOnce focused on the meager beatitudes
\nI lost my sense of purpose, lust for Truth
\nAnd meaning became meaningless
\nSo yes, I’ll change my attitude, and hark!
\nConsumed by knowledge this wise soul shall be!<\/p>\n

Like a ship in Summer’s heat, I grow complacent
\nNo longer am I loathe to idle talents
\nAnd grogginess persists
\nUpon the once-frenetic wheels of creativity
\nUntil I slither, placid, to the grimy pits where
\nEverafter, courage and confidence go to die.<\/p>\n

Somewhere in the darkest fathom
\nUnderneath the quickening depths where hatred broods
\nRaces a faint light, as dagger from a scabbard
\nAnd towards my weighted body it speeds mightily
\nUntil it captures it within the hull
