With weighted brow and purse’d lips

To err is fatal; man be cursed!
\nFatal folly now I see
\nAdvancing on emboldened pride
\nThrough seas autonomously claimed.
\nThis farer kneels in humble blame
\nFor though his bold adventurous side
\nWould fair advance his property
\nHe side-stepped stakes eternal, first.<\/p>\n

In rage, the waters boiled and frothed
\nLeviathan’s toll yet to be paid
\nAnd still the timbered flotsam sails
\nDamaged oars and chain protrude
\nAs blasted show of magnitude.
\nUnwielded ownership will fail
\nAnd sampled freedom gone, in vain
\nBecause of hastened wisdom lost.<\/p>\n

No chance to seal these leaking planks
\n“All hands lost” will be my fate
\nAnd bitterness, regret will grow
\nThe maelstrom draws the ship beneath
\nCovers masts for age’d peace.
\nEscape, to drift in wandering storms
\nNo going back, to separate
