Amazing grace- it’s failed me now
\nGone long ago with Peace.
\nThe stifling lack of innocence
\nHas left my soul in need of more
\nAnd ripped into its very core
\nA tired, well-worn crease.<\/p>\n

Without a steady ebb and beat
\nMy heart is nothing more than flesh.
\nBlood and water flow and flush
\nHowever many quarts it will
\nAnd keep me filled with life- but ’til
\nI change this list of fuel, I fill
\nMy tainted veins with dust.<\/p>\n

To halt the rush of violence
\nAnd calm the raging storm within
\nThere is provided penitence
\nIn Holy Words of perfection.
\nThis seeming strange connection
\nRevives and strengthens hence
\nGlory shines through darkness’ fence
\nBeauty through ugliness.<\/p>\n

Hence come the Lovely, the Lonely
\nThe Lowly, Last and Least.
\nUnending Praise follows the fleet
\nUnhindered runs Love’s Peace.
\nIn naked Joy, the sinner leaps
\nAnd from his rotten clothing strips
\nTo lead his soul towards shining lights.
\nIn wondrous Grace that rises thrice
