What do we consider a necessity?<\/p>\n

As growing, maturing Christians, what can we throw away from our lives to stay afloat in this never-ending sea of turbulent days? Our lifestyles are full of junk, clogging our heads and hearts, bogging our thoughts and feeling down, keeping us immature and unfulfilled. What do we get rid of?<\/p>\n

Or better yet, can we even be honest enough with ourselves to admit we’re too comfortable to get rid of what we’ve latched onto? I mean, once we own a computer, could we ever go back to the typewriter? And once we’ve purchased a cell phone, will we even consider sending a telegraph? Is there anything we’ll strip from our life that distracts us from what’s supposed to be our main focus?<\/p>\n

I know I’d figure it near impossible to never have a car again, or a computer, or a phone. I know I’d never want to think about how much time I can waste on all three, just by using them, or by fiddling with them, or by…well, wasting time. And time goes by so quickly. It’s incredibly easy to lose your whole day to a doodle, or a train of thought. And even easier if you have COOL STUFF to help you out. But, when the big guns come out, and you have to decide what will go…how will you make your decision? Which is more important? Which is harder? Which will you wind up at: The emails of the present, or the telegraph of the future?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
