Two-Party System - Of Psychology and Psychosomatics

Two-Party System

Okay, so here’s what I’ve been thinking about lately:

Right now, two major political parties dominate the American governmental system– The Democratic Party, and the Republican Party. They used to stand for radically different beliefs and ideals on how to run the country, and originally, held each other’s views. Now, both parties feature similar, spineless politics, pandering, wasteful, incompetent headlining Presidential candidates and world views that extend only to their desire for doing less and wasting more.

Fine, okay, I can live with that. When’s the last time an opportunistic organization didn’t jump at the chance for power?

Here’s the issue: There are always other candidates who run, and time and time again, I’m discouraged from voting for them, because I’ll “Take away votes from a potential winner.” What? If I vote for someone, isn’t it because I hope they’ll win?

So here’s what I’ve resolved to do: Rather than not voting at all (a very real temptation), I will vote for another candidate, one who I actually believe will do some good for this country, who has the United States’ best interest in mind.

Screw Hillary. Screw Trump. Down with their scheming, their lies, their pandering, their selfish, disgusting, deceitful ethos. I won’t be made to feel bad for not choosing one of them. Long live the American Way.
